We all screamed (loudly) for ice cream last night! The one and only hot (cool off) spot to alleviate such a craving is the glorious...
I love this place as much as I love Geoff and Hannah..Too bad we have to leave it here next year when we transfer to another town, hmmm wonder if they have franchises or delivery service??
The grand "Moolix" is located right smack downtown, tucked into an endless stretch of shops and eateries. On a hot evening it can be found easily - just follow your nose (waffle cones made on site) and spot the crowd (line ups out the door are common but worth the wait!)
This is only one of three menu boards mounted on the wall behind the counter, the single time to thank goodness for a long lineup! Too may choices of ice cream can cause a brain freeze even before getting the chance to order! There are favourites in our family so a few more visits and we may be experiencing "Hi Kate, Geoff and Hannah, 1 root beer float kids waffle cone, 1 banana fudge kids waffle cone and 1 birthday cake baby cone coming right up!"
Can you believe this is considered a KIDS CONE??! Okay so I (the photographer) didn't do it justice..But next to the sports car it looks monstrous! THAT IS BECAUSE IT IS! If you order a SMALL, you can choose up to 2 flavours for the 2 scoops, now picture an ice cream cone next to a mini van! Before we knew the serving portions, we would get the small cone but slowly learned it wasn't a good idea if you didn't want to have the over eating boulder feeling in your stomach.
Geoff attempting to eat the mountain of Hedgehog Gelato. He branched out to a new flavour!
Me a few blocks later, realizing I was so immersed in taking photos and trying out a new flavour I forgot to get a photo with me and my cone, although it usually takes me the whole walk home to polish off my ice cream. Last night I attempted the Cookies N Cream flavour.
And Hannah loved her first Cotton Candy ice cream (so did her t-shirt and stroller!) Gotta love strollers that can be disassembled and put in the washing machine!
All that was worth it for this face!
On the way home we stopped by the park to go on the slide...
And let the kids burn off some sugar before bed time!
