I just finished reading "In The Sanctuary Of Outcasts" by Neil White. A book full of heartbreak and humor. The memoir revolves around Neil White's and his journey of being incarcerated. After admitting to bank fraud, Neil White is in sent to a secluded Louisiana colony where 18 months await him. With time spent in a unified jail for convicts and a home for leprosy patients, Neil confronts his new life with bravery and charm. He learns life lessons, grows into a new version of himself and forms the most unlikely of friendships with a collection of characters you can't help but love. Two thumbs up for this jem of a book!
