Poolside Daze

Even though the temperature takes a dip at night, the daytime requires another sort of dip to cool down...

Hannah is one brave soul, because the pool's source of water is from...

You got it, the hose! Its one serious job to fill the pool, but to me that job is a breeze compared to the blowing up and deflation of this monstrosity! Maybe next time, Hannah and I could switch jobs??

She just laughs at me, guess no trade? All the effort in the world (which this pool demands) is worth the sweat and tears when a moment comes along like this..

The first experimental head dunk!

In addition to the smiles that happen every time the pool is assembled, it is all priceless..

And as for the dogs, you ask? Well..

Moxie wonders why his yard happens to be invaded by an overload of inflatable toys on a regular basis, and none of them are for him..

And apart from taking a few drinks from the pool, Daisy she just wants to play with a towel!

And at the end of the day..after mom breathlessly inflates the pool and all the toys..Hannah (seriously) filling the pool with water.. splashing around and getting mom drenched..experiencing the glory and shock of the first head dunk..playing with the dogs so they don't feel left out of the fun..and getting wet grass between the toes..and being a tired two year old (and almost thirty year old)...the only thing to say is "pool outside again?"

Maybe tomorrow..

  1. This is a comment dedicated to my most precious daughter in-law Kate who is bravely soldiering on through this trying time of separation from my son in the military. I applaud Kate for her perserverance in this endeavor and her patient and wonderful mothering skills to our little angel Hannah! I love reading your blogs Kate and can't wait for another glimpse into your daily life with little Miss Princess.
